An Islamic cleric, Professor Luqman Zakariyah, has offered prayers for Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing him as a father of all and expressing hope that his administration will bring relief and hope to the less privileged in society.

The prayers were offered on Friday during the wedding fatiha of the children of the Minister of State for Defence, Mohammed Bello Matawalle, held at the National Mosque Abuja.

President Tinubu attended the multiple wedding ceremony, where he represented the Matawalle family and formally received the brides into the family.

Speaking during the ceremony, Professor Zakariyah prayed for the President’s good health, long life, and success in office, adding that his tenure would restore hope to the hopeless and bring prosperity to the nation.

“We pray to Almighty Allah to grant our President good health, long life, and success during his presidency. May his tenure bring hope to the hopeless,” the cleric said.

The wedding ceremony was also attended by the President of São Tomé and Príncipe, Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, alongside several dignitaries.

Matawalle, a former governor of Zamfara State, gave out five of his daughters—Maryam, Safiyya, Farida, Nana Firdausi, and Aisha—in marriage. Five of his sons—Ibrahim, Abdul Jalal, Surajo, Bello, and Fahad—were also joined in matrimony at the event.

The officiating Imam further prayed for the couples, asking Allah to bless their marriages, grant them success in their life journeys, and bless their parents and grandparents.

The ceremony was witnessed by state governors, members of the National Assembly, Federal Executive Council members, service chiefs, members of the diplomatic corps, traditional rulers, religious leaders, and other well-wishers.
