Echoing Psalm 8, she pondered, “Who am I that you are So Mindful of me Lord,” before affirming, “I am Very Grateful, Lord!”

Beyond acting, her roles as a UN ambassador and founder of the TEFFEST (The Entertainment Fair and Festival) underscore her commitment to empowering African narratives and advocating for social issues like education and women’s rights.
Recent years have seen her expand horizons, including a foray into music and real estate during a 2005 industry ban that she later described as a “turning point” for diversification.
In 2026, she is set to make her directorial debut with Mother’s Love, a film she also produced, starring alongside talents like Ifeanyi Kalu and Lilian Afegbai.
Scheduled for Nigerian release on March 6, following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025, the project explores themes of sacrifice and family bonds in a blend of English and Pidgin.
