Police officers and prosecutors attached to the Igbosere and Tinubu Magistrates’ Courts, Lagos Island, recently organised a mini send-off ceremony in honour of DSP Francis Igbinosa and DSP (Barrister) Ben Ekundayo following their retirement from the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
The event, held at the Tinubu Magistrates’ Court, was organised in appreciation of the officers’ 35 years of meritorious and unblemished service to the Force.
Colleagues described the retired officers as dedicated and hardworking prosecutors who carried out their duties with passion and integrity. They noted that both men were committed to the pursuit of justice and fairness throughout their careers.

Speaking at the event, fellow prosecutors said the celebration was also an opportunity to thank Almighty God for granting the duo sound health throughout their years of service and into retirement.
The ceremony attracted police prosecutors from various magistrates’ courts across Lagos, officers from other police units, and Lagos-based legal practitioner, Barrister Jude Ezemhoya, popularly known as JJ.
As part of the send-off, the organisers presented the retired officers with corner-sized gifts as tokens of appreciation for their contributions to the administration of justice.
