Nigerian Afrobeats star, Wizkid, has criticised veteran singer 2Baba for saying Burna Boy is ahead of him on the global stage.
2Baba recently spoke in an interview with Seun Okinbaloye about the popular “Big 3” debate. The term “Big 3” refers to Wizkid, Davido and Burna Boy, who are widely regarded as Nigeria’s biggest music stars with strong international influence.
When asked who currently leads among the three globally, 2Baba said he believes Burna Boy is number one on the world stage.
Wizkid reacted strongly to the comment. In a post on his Snapchat page, he described 2Baba as an “old man” and advised him to focus on resolving issues in his family instead of commenting on music rankings.
“I’m never letting it slack in 2026. At least make peace with your family first before having opinions about music. Old man,” Wizkid wrote.
