Nigerian rapper, Olanrewaju Ogunmefun, popularly known as Vector has said he does not believe in church as a physical building but rather as something that exists within a person.
The rapper made the statement during a recent interview where he explained his personal understanding of spirituality and religion.
According to him, he does not subscribe to denominational divisions and instead believes the concept of church is spiritual and personal.
“I actually don’t believe in church as an edifice or as a building, but I believe in church as a human being, because at the end, even the Bible points that the church is in your heart,” he said.
Vector further attempted to reference a scripture while explaining his view of the kingdom of God.
“Behold, if the people that tells you that the kingdom is in the sky, then the birds precede you. If they say it is in the water, then the fish precede you. Rather, the kingdom is both inside of you and outside of you,” he added.
