A unanimous vote of confidence was passed in Senator Yayi. The communique, signed by Hon. Sunday Adebowale, Secretary of the Pacesetters Pillars Support Group, affirmed that his administrative competence and legislative experience make him a strong candidate to consolidate Ogun State’s developmental strides.

As the 2027 electioneering campaign draws closer, stakeholders in Ifo Local Government of Ogun State have declared their support for Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, widely known as Yayi, urging him to step forward and contest the governorship.

The “Ifo Stands with Yayi 2027” programme, held at Ifo Town Hall, brought together party leaders, elders, traditional rulers, women, youths, and community representatives in a show of unity and conviction.

In his welcome address, Alhaji Isiaq Adesanya, Chairman of the Pacesetters Pillars Support Group, described the gathering as a historic demonstration of grassroots resolve.

He commended Senator Yayi’s record of service, citing projects such as electricity transformers, solar-powered streetlights, boreholes, road rehabilitation, and empowerment initiatives that have directly impacted communities in Ifo.

Adesanya added that leadership is about capacity, courage, and compassion, qualities he said Yayi has consistently demonstrated.

He stressed that the senator has built bridges across Ogun’s three senatorial districts, earning acceptance beyond his native Ogun West. According to him, the call for Yayi to step forward is not driven by sentiment but by performance and proven competence.

He concluded that the people of Ifo have spoken with one voice, and their message is clear: they want continuity, justice, and visionary leadership.

Speakers at the event emphasised that these interventions were not promises but verifiable achievements that have improved lives.

They argued that Yayi’s performance in the Senate has redefined representation, bringing governance closer to the grassroots and ensuring federal presence is felt in everyday life.

Stakeholders also raised the issue of equity and fairness, noting that since the creation of Ogun State in 1976, Ogun West Senatorial District has never produced a governor.

They insisted that 2027 should mark a turning point, with Ogun West given the opportunity to lead. Senator Yayi, as a son of Ogun West, was presented as the embodiment of both competence and justice.

Other notable political leaders present included Chief Ganiyu Elefonde, Alhaji Bayonle Lasis, Coordinator of the Pacesetters Pillars in Ifo Local Government, Chief (Mrs) Yusuf, Alhaji Wasiu Sodipo, Chief Mrs Olabinran, and Comrade Musa Ojo, Pacesetters Pillars Ifo Constituency 1, among others. They joined fellow members to affirm Senator Yayi as the man to push forward as Ogun State’s next governor.

Speaking on the success of the event, Hon. Sunday Adebowale said the turnout and resolutions reflected the genuine yearnings of the people.

“The voice of Ifo is clear. We stand with Yayi, and we are ready to mobilise across Ogun Central and beyond,” he declared. The programme concluded with a unified message: the grassroots are calling, and the people of Ogun State are ready for visionary leadership in 2027.
