Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti has openly expressed concern over Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, warning of the Nigerian forward’s threat ahead of their crucial UEFA Champions League play-off clash against Galatasaray.
At a pre-match press briefing, Spalletti acknowledged the danger posed by Osimhen alongside Argentine forward Mauro Icardi, describing them as two very different but equally lethal attackers.
“Both Icardi and Osimhen are great but different players. One creates chaos, the other tries to use this chaos as an advantage,” Spalletti said. “We have studied our opponent and know what they would do, but we aim to play our own game.”
Osimhen has been Galatasaray’s standout performer this season, showcasing pace, power, and deadly finishing, while Icardi continues to trouble defenses with his experience and positional intelligence.
Juventus will have to devise a strategy to contain this formidable duo if they hope to secure a favourable result in Tuesday’s high-stakes encounter, a match expected to have major implications for both clubs’ Champions League ambitions.
