Aeroplay Drops Debut Album

Aeroplay, a budding hip-hop music group has launched the promo version of its debut album.

The launch, held last week at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos, witnessed the presence of bigwigs in the Nigerian corporate and entertainment industry.

Though the group is made up of two budding artistes, Christopher Young (Babatunde Afolabi) and DJ Fame (Henry Tonwe Adebola), only Fame was at the launch to host guests and perform a few of the tracks.

Speaking at the launch, Fame explained the absence of his partner, Young, whom he claimed got stuck in the University of Ottawa Canada, where he is currently studying computer engineering. He however livened up the day with A-class performance that got the audience excited, yearning for more.

“You should expect the full album same time next year but with a concert. It is more of a kick off. We have a whole lot going on for us, so there is a need to start something. This is that time,” Fame enthused.

He added that as their name connotes, “Aero Play means to fly in whatever you do. We are flying with our songs. That is what we know how to do best, that is why we are doing all this. That is why we are here to celebrate. We do music in any direction and in anywhere the inspiration comes from.”

The promo album has three tracks, while the original album will contains 11 tracks.
