Nigerian content creator Kolu has reportedly been arrested in the United Kingdom.
The arrest allegedly happened on Wednesday after an altercation with UK immigration officers.
Popular Nigerian musician Candy Bleakz shared the news in a video on her Instagram page, explaining that Kolu traveled to the UK under her sponsorship.
Candy Bleakz described what happened, saying that Kolu was unable to find his passport when they were about to board a flight back to Nigeria. She said this led to a confrontation with the immigration authorities.
“I already told Kolu that he is traveling to the UK under my name, and if he does not return to Nigeria, it could cause serious problems for me. When we tried to board the flight, Kolu couldn’t find his passport.
I told him to stay calm and search everywhere. He couldn’t find it, and instead of cooperating with immigration, he started fighting. He thought he was in Nigeria.
He has now been taken to the station. I’ve been at the station since morning, trying to speak with them because I don’t want him deported, which could affect his passport,” she said.
Candy Bleakz’s video shows her concern about the situation and her efforts to resolve it with the UK authorities.
