The reports come shortly after the Israeli military announced it had carried out a large aerial attack on the “heart of the capital.” Further details are awaited.

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency has reported the sound of “terrible explosions” caused by missile and air attacks in Tehran, Iran, including around the Seyyed Khandan and Qasr intersections, as well as Vanak Square and Motahari Street.

The reports come shortly after the Israeli military announced it had carried out a large aerial attack on the “heart of the capital.” Further details are awaited.

The Israeli Home Front Command said sirens are sounding across large areas of Tel Aviv and its surrounding region, as well as in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank.

Sirens were also reported in Haifa and its bay, along with Acre and nearby areas, according to official Israeli sources.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and some top government and military officials had been killed in earlier strikes codenamed Epic Fury, involving pre-emptive strikes, on Saturday and Sunday.

U.S. President, Donald Trump, has vowed that the strikes would continue.
