The Lagos State Government has announced a comprehensive traffic management plan ahead of the reconstruction of a section of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway between Super Bus-Stop and Ilepo Bus-Stop (inbound Lagos).

He further stated that a third option allows road users to divert through the Abule Egba Underbridge, connect to Agege and proceed to their desired destinations.

Osiyemi noted that traffic on the opposite carriageway, Abeokuta bound, will experience through movement during the construction period.

On incident management, the Commissioner said emergency tow vehicles will be strategically stationed to provide swift recovery operations within the BRT corridor to prevent avoidable congestion.

Advising motorists, Osiyemi urged road users to exercise patience, comply strictly with traffic signage and cooperate with traffic management officials deployed along the route.

He stressed that the temporary adjustments are critical to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the reconstruction works, which are aimed at improving road infrastructure and delivering a better motoring experience for residents and commuters.
