The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has inspected accommodation facilities for pilgrims in Makkah as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.
The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, said the inspection forms part of early arrangements aimed to ensure intending pilgrims were provided with safe, comfortable, and well-organised accommodation during the pilgrimage.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Sulaiman Dederi, on Sunday in Kano.
The statement said: “The inspection tour seeks to ensure availability of essential services required to support pilgrims throughout their stay in the Holy City.
“The need to maintain high standards in accommodation, welfare, and logistics is crucial to guarantee a smooth and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage for Kano state pilgrims.”
It stressed the importance of strict compliance with agreed standards and timely completion of all necessary arrangements ahead of the Hajj.
The statement reaffirmed the commitment of the board’s management to continue monitoring and improving service to ensure that Kano pilgrims receive optimal support during the 2026 Hajj operations.
It said the inspection was part of a broader strategy to strengthen operational readiness and enhance the overall Hajj experience for pilgrims from the state.
