“Without a doubt our nation and our people will not surrender. They will fight, struggle and will not surrender,” Qalibaf told government news service IRNA.

Iran has vowed not to surrender amid escalating tensions with the United States, with Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warning of potential retaliation against any Gulf nation that allows US attacks on Iranian soil.

“Without a doubt our nation and our people will not surrender. They will fight, struggle and will not surrender,” Qalibaf told government news service IRNA.

He added that Iran will take countermeasures against any Gulf country providing bases for US strikes on Tehran.

The speaker’s statement echoed earlier remarks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which warned that continued attacks on Iranian infrastructure would be met with immediate retaliation.

Qalibaf also criticised US President Donald Trump, saying the former president made a “big mistake” assuming Iran would capitulate after just a few days of conflict.

Meanwhile, tensions across the Middle East continue to escalate. Israeli air strikes reportedly hit towns in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh district, targeting Zebdin and Zefta, according to Al Jazeera Arabic. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

At the same time, the Saudi Arabian Defence Ministry said its forces intercepted two drones north of Riyadh, thwarting the attacks. Details about the origin of the drones or any damage remain unclear.
