IWD 2026: Women charged to give their best in raising children

As the world marked the International Women’s Day, women around the world have been advised to give their utmost attention in raising their children so as to gain the best of the children when they are older.
This submission was given by discussants at a zoom meeting held in celebration of 2026 International Women’s Day programme with the theme: Give to Gain with a sub topic “Navigating the pain of career and home to stand out in the society” organised by Adebukola Okuneye of Elegant Events.
The zoom programme which has two discussants, one in Nigeria and another outside country focuses on ways to be a better woman in the home while being in the front seat in the society.

She also added that women should give total attention in raising their children, as a child raised well will be a good gain for the mother in future, but the ones raised in neglect and partying will be a regret to the mother.
The Director, Admin and Personnel, Ogun state Property and investment corporation (OPIC) and the COO Tammys Event, Mrs Abidemi Adeyemi pointed out that different children with styles of raising them, hence there are sacrifices mothers should make in raising them. She added that giving should be a norm as a woman.
The host, Adebukola Okuneye pointed that women should make 2026 the biggest giving days through collaboration and support to themselves.
The event which had people from all walks of life (Nigeria, South Africa, turkey, UK, USA, and Canada) participating was an eyes opener and impactful for all the participants.
