Social media influencer, Michelle Mukoro, popularly known as King Mitchy, has publicly apologised to activist VeryDarkMan, Seyi Tinubu and the Ooni of Ife following a heated social media controversy.

The apology comes after days of online drama involving the influencer and the outspoken activist.

The controversy began after Mitchy claimed she renovated a school within six days and challenged VeryDarkMan to provide N50 million to support the renovation of more schools.

The activist allegedly questioned the source of funds used for the project, leading to a heated exchange between the two on social media.

The situation later escalated when VeryDarkMan alleged that Seyi Tinubu, son of Nigeria’s president, was financing Mitchy’s philanthropic activities, a claim that triggered intense debates online.

The feud reportedly led to Mitchy losing access to her business Instagram account while the controversy also attracted widespread criticism and harassment from social media users.

The drama took a worrying turn when the influencer was seen in a live video consuming a substance believed to be a bleach product, prompting concerned viewers to raise alarm.

Shortly after, Mitchy’s management released a statement claiming that she had died at Prime Care Hospital in Abuja after efforts to revive her failed.

However, the situation changed when the hospital publicly denied the claim, stating that the influencer was never admitted to the facility.

“The management of Prime Care Hospitals wishes to inform the public that the announcement of the alleged death of Miss Mukoro Mitchelle, popularly known as King Mitchy, at our facility in Abuja is FALSE. King Mitchy was never a patient in our hospital and did not pass away here,” the hospital said.

Her management later clarified in a fresh Instagram post that the influencer was alive.

In a video shared on her social media pages, Mitchy tendered a public apology to all parties involved in the dispute.

“My brother VeryDarkMan, I’m really sorry. I shouldn’t have come at you like that. Now I understand you and what you are doing for Nigeria.

“For some days now, I’ve reflected on all I’ve done and I see it wasn’t right, especially considering there are many young girls out there.

“To Seyi Tinubu, I’m sorry, I know I have apologised privately but everything happened in public.

“To the Ooni of Ife, I’m deeply sorry for bringing your name into this,” she said in the video.
