Why I would have ended my friendship with Allwell – Rotimi Salami

Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has revealed that transparency is a key principle in his marriage, noting that he does not keep secrets from his wife.

The actor made the disclosure while speaking about his relationship with the late actress and filmmaker Allwell Ademola during a recent interview.

Salami explained that although he shared a close working relationship with the late actress, his wife remained the only person he was accountable to regarding his personal relationships.

According to him, he would have stepped back from his friendship with Ademola if his wife had expressed any discomfort about their closeness.

“My wife is the only person I’m answerable to. If she had complained about my close friendship with Allwell, I would have stepped back from the friendship,” he said.

The actor added that his family has always been his top priority despite maintaining cordial relationships with colleagues in the movie industry.

“Allwell didn’t live with me at home. Whenever I went to work, I always returned home. When God wants to support what you do, He aligns things in your favour,” he stated.

Salami further emphasised the importance of openness in his marriage, revealing that he always keeps his wife informed about his interactions with other women.
