The Kano State Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr. Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, has vowed to apprehend killers of a Civil Defence personnel who was hacked to death by unidentified hoodlums, during an empowerment programme in the Tudun Wada area of the state.
Mr. Bakori said, already, police are in liaison with sister security agencies to ensure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are fished out to face justice.
According to a Statement by Kano State Police Command spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Command received a report on the death of a Civil Defence personnel who lost his life during an attack by hoodlums at an empowerment programme held in Tudun Wada Local Government Area, on March 13, 2026.
The Commissioner of Police, Mr. Bakori, in liaison with other security agencies, has launched a thorough and discreet investigation into the incident with a view to identifying and apprehending the perpetrators.
The Kano Police boss has assured the public that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

The Kano State Police Command extended its condolences to the family of the deceased and the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps.
Police appealed members of the public for cooperation as the investigation continues.
The Police appreciated the public’s continued support and cooperation in the fight against crime and assured that every effort will be made to ensure that the perpetrators face the full weight of the law.
Kiyawa added that further developments will be communicated as the investigation progresses.
