Nollywood actress and philanthropist Tonto Dikeh has responded to criticism over her renewed relationship with her former husband, Olakunle Churchill.
The actress addressed the backlash after sharing photos and moments from their son’s birthday celebration, which showed her spending time with Churchill and members of his family.
The posts sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some critics accusing her of doing “too much” by frequently posting about her ex-husband.
Reacting through her Instagram Story, Dikeh dismissed the criticism and defended her actions, stressing that Churchill remains the father of her son.
“How am I doing too much for the only man who put a child in me?” she wrote.
Dikeh explained that she and Churchill are focused on co-parenting their son, Andre Churchill, despite their past marital issues.
The actress and Churchill were previously involved in a highly publicised separation that played out on social media, but they have since reconciled and maintained a co-parenting relationship.
She also told her critics to mind their business, saying they may not understand the peace that comes with maturity and forgiveness.
According to her, co-parenting requires mutual respect and appreciation between parents, regardless of their past conflicts.
Dikeh added that when her critics find themselves in a similar situation, they should feel free to handle it however they choose.
