Business leader and entrepreneur Aderoju Daniel Okunade, founder of Chronik Plus Services Limited, recently celebrated his 40th birthday alongside the 15th anniversary of his company at a colourful event held at Victoria Gardens Event Center.

The celebration brought together family members, friends, business associates, staff, clients and officials of the Lagos State Government, who gathered to honour Okunola’s life journey and the growth of Chronik Plus Services Limited over the past decade and a half.

Speaking at the event, Okunade expressed deep gratitude to God for sustaining him through life and business challenges, noting that both milestones represented faith, perseverance and resilience.

“Tonight is very special to me. It’s not every day you celebrate 40 years of life and 15 years of running a company at the same time. One shows that God has been faithful, and the other shows that I refused to quit,” he said.

Reflecting on the early days of Chronik Plus Services Limited, Okunade recalled starting the business with limited resources but strong determination. According to him, the journey was marked by setbacks, sleepless nights and moments when quitting seemed tempting.

“When we started, we had big dreams, small capital and plenty of motivation. Sometimes the motivation was bigger than the bank balance. But step by step, lesson by lesson, we kept going. Today, the company is no longer just an idea; it is a testimony,” he said.

He added that the success of the company was built on consistency, patience and faith, noting that these values had sustained the organisation through difficult moments. Okunade also used the occasion to appreciate the staff of Chronik Plus Services Limited for their commitment and dedication, describing them as a major pillar of the company’s progress.

“To my staff, thank you for staying the course even when things got tough. Your hard work and dedication have played a huge role in what we are building together,” he said.

He further thanked the company’s clients for trusting the brand during its formative years and for remaining supportive as the business expanded.

“They trusted us when we were still learning and stayed with us while we were growing. Their belief in our vision is a major reason we are still here today,” he added.

The entrepreneur also paid emotional tribute to his family, especially his late father, Adebowale Okunade, whose teachings about integrity and reputation shaped his values, as well as his mother, Yinka (Rashidat) Okunade, whom he credited for her prayers and unwavering support.

Okunade expressed appreciation to his wife, Ayisat Agbaje Okunade, the Executive Secretary of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), for standing by him throughout the journey and supporting the vision behind the business.

He also acknowledged his siblings, extended family members, friends and members of his church community at The Logic Church, led by Flourish Peters and Amaka Flourish, for their spiritual guidance and encouragement over the years.

According to him, the dual celebration was not only about marking age or years in business but also about appreciating the people who supported him through life’s challenges.

“As I step into this next chapter both in life and business, I do so wiser, stronger and more grateful. The journey continues, and I believe the best is still ahead,” he said.

The evening featured goodwill messages, networking and celebration as guests toasted to Okunade’s 40 years of life and the 15-year milestone of Chronik Plus Services Limited.

In his goodwill message, the celebrant’s longtime friend, Kolawole Omoboriowo, described Okunola as a deeply loyal and dependable individual whose impact on those around him spans over two decades, noting that their friendship, which has lasted more than 20 years, has been defined by shared experiences, unwavering support, and a bond strengthened through both joyful and challenging moments.

According to him, Okunola possesses a rare ability to make people feel valued and supported, consistently showing up for others regardless of the circumstances.

Omoboriowo further praised his strength, compassion and resilience, stating that his journey reflects not only professional success but also personal growth and meaningful relationships. He commended his dedication to family and friends, as well as his courage in overcoming life’s challenges, noting that his 40th birthday marks the beginning of an even more impactful chapter. She expressed pride in his achievements and optimism for the future, affirming that his life continues to inspire those around him.

Delivering another goodwill message on behalf of the celebrant’s course mates from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Eruwa campus, Taiwo Alabi, founder of HO2 Africa, described Okunade as a man whose entrepreneurial drive was evident from their student days on campus.

Alabi recalled that while they may not have been the closest friends during their programme, Okunade stood out for his calm confidence and humility, noting that he had already begun laying the foundation of what later became Chronik Plus Services Limited.

Alabi noted that the company, which started as “Chronik Concepts” during their student years, reflected the celebrant’s early commitment to building something meaningful.
