Makinde urges Muslims to pray for Oyo, Nigeria on Eid-el-Fitri

Governor Seyi Makinde has charged Muslim faithful to use the opportunity of Eid-el-Fitri celebration to seek God’s face and guidance, and to pray for the leadership of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
This is contained in an Eid el Fitri felicitation message issued in Ibadan on Thursday by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Dr Suleimon Olanrewaju.
Makinde equally urged Muslims to be observant and cautious during the festivities.
He lauded muslims for their sacrifice, perseverance and commitment during the 30-day fasting period.
The governor also cautioned Muslim faithful and all residents of the state to pay close attention to their environments and report any suspicious movement or activity to appropriate security agencies.

Makinde said his focus would continue to be people-centred initiatives that drive growth and development.
