El-Rufai’s sister-in-law dies on Sallah day

The El-Rufai family is in mourning after Aunty Safiya Ali Rufai, sister-in-law of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, passed away on Sallah Day, a family statement confirmed.
The announcement was made by Hon. Mohammed Bello El-Rufai, son of Nasir El-Rufai, who described the late Aunty Safiya as a “fierce, disciplined, devout, and compassionate woman” and urged the public to pray for her soul.
Aunty Safiya was married to the late Air Vice Marshal Ali Rufai, elder brother of former Governor Nasiru El-Rufai and patriarch of the El-Rufai family. She was widely remembered as an ardent disciplinarian and a motherly figure to many within the family.
In his statement, Bello El-Rufai also remembered her two daughters, Yaya Zainabu and Yaya Farida, who passed away years ago, calling on the public to pray for all departed loved ones.
“She will be dearly missed. May Allah SWT bless the souls of all our loved ones,” he said, adding, “Allah ya kara mana hakuri.”
