The Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu, has expressed gratitude to the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, describing him as a mentor whose leadership had been instrumental to the success of the council.
Maikalangu said this in a Sallah message signed by his aide, Kingsley Madaki, and made available to newsmen on Friday.
Maikalangu who congratulated Muslim Ummah in AMAC and nationwide on completing the Ramadan fast acknowledged the role played by Wike in his recent reelection.
”As we celebrate this joyous occasion, I want to specially thank my mentor, the FCT Minister, for his leadership and for standing by us.
”His support was instrumental in our recent re-election victory, a mandate we hold sacred as we continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of AMAC,” he said.
He urged residents to continue praying for the minister, noting that the ongoing infrastructure development across the FCT reflected his vision.

According to him, the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda is becoming visible through the various road projects and developmental strides completed within the territory.
Maikalangu reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, pledging that his second term would focus on complementing the minister’s efforts, particularly in rural communities.
He also urged residents of AMAC to sustain the lessons of piety, sacrifice and discipline beyond the holy month of Ramadan.
According to him, the sustainable development of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) required the collective spiritual and physical support of all citizens.
He wished Muslim faithful a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration and urged them to continue praying for the prosperity of the council and the country.(NAN)
