Amanda Peet opens up on breast cancer diagnosis

American actress Amanda Peet has opened up on her health diagnosis, revealing that she was diagnosed with  breast cancer.

The 54-year-old, while opening up in a New Yorker essay published on Saturday, revealed that her recent cancer diagnosis has made her focus more on her well being. Amanda stated that she was aware of the uniqueness of her breasts, noting that she had been forewarned to monitor them.

“For many years, I’ve been told that I have ‘dense’ and ‘busy’ breasts—not as a compliment but as a warning that they require extra monitoring, I had been seeing a breast surgeon every six months for checkups,” she stated.

The actress revealed that the pronunciation was made in August 2025 after a tumor was found in her body.
