War Insight: Generals safe, soldiers vulnerable – US

The United States has said that top Iranian military leaders are currently taking shelter in deep underground bunkers, far away from the ongoing conflict.
This was revealed by the head of the US Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, during an interview on Sunday. He explained that the senior commanders of Iran’s military have moved into heavily protected facilities located in and around the capital city, Tehran.
According to Cooper, these bunkers are designed to withstand attacks, giving the top generals a high level of safety. However, he pointed out a sharp contrast between the protection enjoyed by these leaders and the situation of ordinary soldiers.
He said that while the generals remain hidden and secure, many Iranian troops on the frontlines are left exposed to continuous airstrikes carried out by the United States and Israel.
These soldiers, he noted, do not have the same level of protection and are facing serious danger on the battlefield.
Cooper stressed that he has been closely monitoring developments over the past week and finds the situation concerning.
He described it as an unfair gap between those giving orders and those carrying them out.
In his words, the senior military leaders are safe inside fortified bunkers, while the soldiers fighting on the ground are vulnerable and largely unprotected from incoming attacks.
The statement comes amid rising tensions and ongoing military exchanges in the region, with both sides continuing to carry out strikes and counter-strikes.
