‘You’re wicked’- Princess blasts Biola Adebayo over Baba Ijesha interview

Nollywood actress and comedian Oluwadamilola Adekoya has come hard on her colleague, Biola Adebayo, over her controversial interview with convicted actor Olanrewaju Omiyinka.

In a video shared on Instagram on Tuesday, Princess, whose foster daughter was the victim in the case, accused Adebayo of being insensitive and deliberately reopening wounds for the victim’s family.

She questioned Adebayo’s decision to give a platform to a convicted sex offender to speak against the victim, despite previously identifying herself as a rape survivor.

“You said you have also been a victim of rape. Would you, Biola, be confident if the person you claimed raped you went on TV years later and started casting aspersions on your family, saying you lied? How would you feel?” she asked.

Princess accused Adebayo of prioritising views and monetary gain over empathy.

“Since it’s not you and it’s not your child, it’s okay. Since it’s for views and money, it’s okay,” she said.

She revealed that since the interview surfaced online, she and her family have been subjected to heavy trolling and online attacks.

“Since that video came out, people have continuously trolled and insulted me. I’ve just been blocking messages,” she added.

The actress went further to question Adebayo’s values, accusing her of lacking compassion.

“You are not a Christian, Biola… if you are, you will not be looking for a way to cause pain and damage to a child,” she said.

“Biola Adebayo, you are wicked and you are insensitive. Nobody forced you to upload that video.”

The controversy erupted after Adebayo released an interview with Baba Ijesha, who was previously convicted on charges including sexual assault and indecent treatment of a child.

During the interview, the actor denied the allegations and claimed he was framed by Princess. He also made claims involving actress Iyabo Ojo, which she has since dismissed while threatening legal action.

Following backlash from the public, Adebayo took down the interview video and issued an apology.
