Paris Saint-Germain’s important Ligue 1 match against Lens, originally set for April 11, has been moved to May 13.
The French league decided to postpone the game so PSG can have more rest between their two Champions League quarter-final matches against Liverpool.
PSG will play Liverpool in the first leg on April 8 in Paris, then travel to England for the second leg at Anfield on April 14.
The decision has caused some controversy because Lens did not agree with the postponement. Lens are currently second in the league, just one point behind PSG, although PSG still have a game in hand.
The league explained that the change was made to help French clubs perform better in European competitions and maintain four spots in the Champions League.
Another Ligue 1 match between Strasbourg and Brest has also been postponed for the same reason, as Strasbourg prepare for their UEFA Conference League quarter-final against Mainz.
