The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Education Resource Centre recently hosted a vibrant retirement ceremony to celebrate Mallam Abdullrazaq Onivehu, who formally exited the FCT civil service after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 60.
The colourful event, held at the Centre in Abuja, attracted a large gathering of education stakeholders, colleagues, friends, and admirers who came together to honour a man widely praised for his discipline, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to public service.
Attendees described his career as one marked by integrity, diligence, and meaningful contributions to the growth of the FCT’s education system.
In her welcome address, the Director of the FCT Education Resource Centre, Dr. Neemat Daud Abdulrahim, stated that the occasion was organised to celebrate the outstanding service of the retired director, whom she fondly referred to as a dependable colleague and brother.
She commended Onivehu for his years of dedicated service to the FCT Administration, noting that his contributions across various postings played a vital role in improving operational efficiency and strengthening institutional effectiveness.
According to her, his legacy of hard work and commitment will continue to inspire both current and future civil servants.
Dr. Abdulrahim further emphasized that his impact within the system remains evident, as he consistently demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and a deep sense of responsibility throughout his career.
