Prof. Dayo Faduyile, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday.
Faduyile, a former Senior Special Adviser on Health to the Ondo State government, in a statement on Sunday in Okitipupa, said Tinubu was the architect of modern Nigeria.
The APC chieftain described the President as an enigma who understood Nigeria’s complex political terrain. He added that, in spite of Nigeria’s political complexities, Tinubu, against all odds, becomes the President.
“Democracy has been consolidated in Nigeria under the watch of Tinubu, and this is an occasion to raise 74 garlands for the achiever and living legend of Nigerian politics.
“Since 1999, Tinubu becomes the first politician who prepared assiduously to be Nigeria’s President, and not one among the accidental Presidents who simply had the Presidency trusted upon them with little or no prior preparation for the herculean task ahead,” he said.
Faduyile, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Federal University of Education, Kontagora, Niger, noted that advanced age brings a renewed sense of vision, inspiration, and bold decision-making for the likes of the President.
“No better time than now for Tinubu to have assumed power as he has taken his time long after leaving office as Lagos Stare Governor to understudy the Nigerian political structure long enough with a high level of preparation,” he said.
Faduyile, a Professor of Pathology and Forensic Medicine, noted that the President enjoys God’s love and grace.
