The Super Eagles are set to face the Jordan national team in an international friendly match taking place today in Antalya.

The encounter comes as Nigeria aims to maintain its perfect record in Turkey following a string of impressive performances.

The Super Eagles are coming off a 2–1 win over Iran national team in their last friendly in Antalya, with goals from Moses Simon and Akor Adams securing the victory.

That win has further bolstered the confidence of coach Eric Chelle’s squad as they look to continue their unbeaten run.

Jordan, already qualified for the upcoming FIFA World Cup, arrives in Antalya as a strong opponent, currently ranked 64th in the world. The team has lost only once in their last five games, signaling that the Super Eagles will face a competitive challenge.

Coach Chelle is expected to make a few changes to his lineup. Defensive adjustments could see Igoh Ogbu paired with a new centre-back partner, while Zaidu Sanusi may take over at left-back from Onyemaechi. Bright Osayi-Samuel is likely to continue at right-back. In midfield, captain Wilfred Ndidi will combine with Alex Iwobi, who is on the verge of earning his 98th cap, alongside options such as Frank Onyeka, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, and Raphael Onyedika.

In attack, Moses Simon is likely to lead the line, supported by Samuel Chukwueze, Akor Adams, or Ademola Lookman. Additional options include Paul Onuachu, Chidera Ejuke, Philip Otele, and Yira Sor, giving the coach multiple attacking combinations to experiment with.

Historically, Nigeria and Jordan have faced each other twice at the senior level, with each team winning one match. Nigeria won 2–0 in a 2004 LG Cup clash in Lagos, while Jordan claimed a 1–0 victory in a friendly in Amman in 2013.

Tuesday’s match presents an important opportunity for Chelle to fine-tune his squad ahead of future competitions, including the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Fans will be watching closely as the Super Eagles aim to extend their unbeaten streak and continue their preparation on a strong note.
