Nkoyo E.F. Samuel releases new book calling women to lead in nation-building

Quick Read

Nkoyo E.F. Samuel, wife of Prophet Ikechukwu O. Samuel, General Overseer of Shiloh Word Chapel, Abuja, is set to release a new book that positions women as indispensable forces in national development and leadership.

Nkoyo E.F. Samuel, wife of Prophet Ikechukwu O. Samuel, General Overseer of Shiloh Word Chapel, Abuja, is set to release a new book that positions women as indispensable forces in national development and leadership.

Titled The Essence of Women in Leadership, the forthcoming book presents 14 concise but impactful principles which Mrs Samuel says every woman — whether in the home, church, marketplace, or public service — must embrace if Nigeria is to realise its full potential.

In the book, Mrs Samuel argues that women have historically been the unseen pillars behind great leaders and thriving nations, stressing that the time has come for them to step into their full, God-ordained roles without hesitation.

The 14 core principles outlined in the book include:

A Woman Cannot Be Kept in the Dark in the Plans of a Nation
A Woman Maintains the Peace of Leadership in a Nation
Women Magnify Little Seeds to Multiply the Wealth of a Nation
A Woman Has Enabled Great Leaders to Emerge Globally
A Woman of Influence and Intelligence Advances Words of Wisdom
A Woman of Integrity Is a Great Nation Builder
A Woman Leads by Example with Total Submission of Vision to Her Husband
A Woman of Courage Acts with Boldness
Women of Real Power Are Women of Good Character
Women in Healthcare Embody Selfless Service to Mankind
A Woman Who Leads Is Driven by Passion for Endless Charity
A Woman Who Leads Inspires Single Women to Understand the Power of One
A Woman Sets Aside Her Crown of Honour to Lift a Nation
A Woman Chooses Silence to Protect the Integrity of Service

Speaking exclusively to PM News ahead of the release, Mrs Samuel described the book as both a spiritual awakening and a practical guide.

“For too long, society has tried to push women to the background of national life,” she said. “Yet the Bible, history, and even our African heritage show that no nation truly rises without the strategic input of its women. This is not about women competing with men. It is about women understanding their unique essence and playing their God-given part in building a better Nigeria.”

Prophet Ikechukwu Samuel, whose Shiloh Word Chapel has grown rapidly in Abuja through its emphasis on prophetic ministry, healing, and community development, endorsed the work as “a timely voice” for this generation.

The book comes at a time when conversations around women’s participation in leadership have intensified across Nigeria. With increasing calls for greater female representation in governance, business, and faith-based institutions, Mrs Samuel’s message blends biblical teaching with practical application, urging women to lead with character, courage, and wisdom while honouring the divine order of family and society.

Written in clear and accessible language, the book is expected to resonate with women across various walks of life — from young professionals and traders to pastors’ wives and senior government officials.

Nkoyo E.F. Samuel is a respected voice in women’s ministry. A teacher and intercessor, she is deeply passionate about family life, women empowerment, and charitable outreach. Her husband’s ministry is widely recognised for its focus on practical Christianity and national transformation.

The Essence of Women in Leadership is scheduled for release in April 2026 in both paperback and e-book formats. Details of the public launch and information on how to obtain advance copies will be announced by the church in the coming weeks.
