Born in Nimule, South Sudan, and raised in Kampala, Uganda, Yagga has built a growing following through videos that reflect his experiences as a street hustler, highlighting personal struggles, resilience, and determination.
His content, which centres on real-life experiences and everyday challenges, has resonated with a wide audience, positioning him as one of the rising voices on the platform.
Yagga’s journey into content creation was not initially planned. According to him, his entry into TikTok was influenced by a close friend who achieved viral success in 2021.
“I just kept making videos with a friend of mine. He ended up blowing up in 2021, just a year after he began his journey,” Yagga said. “After seeing the numbers, it amazed me, so I had to take it seriously.”
Motivated by that breakthrough, Yagga began posting consistently the same year, with several of his videos collectively attracting over one million views. His growing visibility quickly earned him recognition within his region, establishing him as an underground creator on the rise.
His progress has also attracted attention from major brands. The content creator disclosed that his career received a significant boost after being discovered and endorsed by global betting brand 1XBet.
In January 2026, Yagga signed partnership deals with 1XBet, Coca-Cola, and Club Uganda, marking a major turning point in his journey.
Reflecting on his rise to fame, he described the experience as life-changing.
“My whole hood was on lockdown hard, so people couldn’t believe it when they came for me. I couldn’t believe it either,” he said. “Back in 2019, I was just playing basketball and didn’t think about posting online. By 2020, I started getting opportunities, and in 2021, everything changed—it was crazy.”
With his growing influence and brand partnerships, Yagga is gradually positioning himself as one of the notable emerging TikTok personalities in East Africa, using his story to inspire others navigating similar challenges.
