Arsenal were knocked out of the FA Cup after losing 2-1 to Southampton on Saturday.

Southampton took the lead in the first half through Ross Stewart. Arsenal equalised in the second half when Viktor Gyokeres scored. However, Charles’ goal near the end of the match gave Southampton the victory.
This result means Arsenal have now lost another chance to win a trophy this season, after also losing the League Cup final to Manchester City.
Despite this defeat, Arsenal are still leading the Premier League table by nine points ahead of Manchester City. Winning the league remains their main focus.
However, manager Mikel Arteta may be worried about his team’s recent performances, especially as they have struggled in important moments in past seasons.

Their main goal remains promotion back to the Premier League. They are currently seventh in the Championship and will face Wrexham in an important upcoming match.
During the game, Southampton scored first after a defensive mistake by Arsenal allowed Stewart to finish from close range.
Arsenal equalised in the 68th minute, but shortly after, Gabriel Magalhaes was forced off with a knee injury, affecting the team’s performance.
Southampton took advantage late in the match when Tom Fellows set up Shea Charles, who calmly scored the winning goal.
