Eredivise: PSV clinch third straight Dutch League title
Quick Read
Under the guidance of Dutch coach Peter Bosz, PSV wrapped up the title with five matches still remaining, following a thrilling 4-3 victory over Utrecht on Saturday.
PSV Eindhoven have secured the Dutch league championship for the third consecutive season and the 27th time in their history.
The title was confirmed on Sunday after Feyenoord, their closest rivals, were held to a goalless draw by Volendam.
Under the guidance of Dutch coach Peter Bosz, PSV wrapped up the title with five matches still remaining, following a thrilling 4-3 victory over Utrecht on Saturday.
The win lifted PSV’s points tally to 71, leaving Feyenoord 17 points behind at 54—an insurmountable gap with only five fixtures left.
Bosz, who has been at the helm since 2023, has now won the Dutch league in all three seasons as PSV manager, solidifying his reputation in Dutch football.
While league success has been remarkable, PSV’s campaign in other competitions was less impressive. They exited the Dutch Cup at the semi-final stage after a 3-2 loss to Nijmegen and finished at the bottom of their Champions League group, ranking 28th with 8 points from two wins, two draws, and four losses.
Despite the setbacks in cup competitions, PSV’s league dominance continues to set them apart in Dutch football.
Fans now look forward to seeing if the club can translate domestic success into stronger European performances next season.
