Nigerian singer and songwriter Lekan Osifeso Jr, popularly known as Lojay, has opened up on how he maintains balance in his personal life despite being a public figure.
The singer, while speaking in an interview with the Sunday Sun, explained that although he is grateful for the love and support he receives, he understands the importance of creating boundaries with fans.
Lojay added that his music comes from a place of awareness, adding that he is conscious about not making performative music without depth.
”I appreciate the love, genuinely. But I’ve learned balance—you can’t feed every type of energy. I keep my private life separate from my artistry because once you lose that boundary, the music starts to feel performative instead of real. There was a point where I loved someone deeply but lost myself in the process. That taught me that love should add to you, not erase you. Since then, I’ve written from a place of balance, loving, but with awareness,” he stated.
