Offset, 34, whose legal name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, rose to fame as part of the Atlanta hip-hop group Migos, alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff. Since forming in 2008, Migos produced several hits, including “Bad and Boujee”, and landmark albums such as Culture (2017).
The group disbanded in 2023 following the 2022 fatal shooting of Takeoff, who was killed at age 28 outside a Houston bowling alley. At the time, Offset described the loss as devastating: “The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words.”
