Trump slams NATO as ‘very disappointing’ in fresh attack

“None of these people, including our own, very disappointing, NATO, understood anything unless they have pressure placed upon them!!!”
U.S. President Donald Trump has launched a fresh attack on NATO, calling the defence alliance “very disappointing” amid continued tensions in the Middle East.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote:
“None of these people, including our own, very disappointing, NATO, understood anything unless they have pressure placed upon them!!!”
The comments came shortly after Iran warned that ceasefire talks would be meaningless if Israel continues airstrikes in Lebanon, declaring that “our fingers are on the trigger.” Iranian officials condemned Israel’s renewed operations as a “blatant violation” of the temporary truce, which had offered a brief hope of ending hostilities.
Following the ceasefire announcement, Israel excluded Lebanon from the deal and launched a massive campaign of strikes, leaving over 200 dead and 1,000 injured, further straining the country’s fragile healthcare system.
Iranian Parliament member Masoud Pezeshkian added:
“Israel’s renewed incursion into Lebanon is a blatant violation of the initial ceasefire agreement… Our fingers remain on the trigger. Iran will never abandon its Lebanese sisters and brothers.”
Trump, who has long criticised NATO for relying on U.S. pressure to take action, reiterated his stance amid growing international concerns over the escalating Middle East crisis.
