Google and UpSkill Universe, a leading AI and business skills training partner in Sub-Saharan Africa, have announced a major update to the Google Hustle Academy program.
For the first time, the free program is open to everyone, not just business owners.
The new curriculum focuses on teaching practical AI skills to help individuals and entrepreneurs advance their careers.
Small businesses drive Africa’s economy, creating over 80% of jobs. To support them, Hustle Academy started in 2022, offering training on business strategy, digital skills, AI, and leadership. Since then, over 18,000 SMEs have participated, with many reporting increased revenue and more jobs.
The 2026 edition is designed for a wider audience, including employees, students, and jobseekers.
