The 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has officially kicked off in California, drawing thousands of music fans from around the world and again, Afrobeats is firmly on the global stage.

Davido is set to perform, making him the only confirmed Nigerian artist at the festival. He will star alongside international headliners such as Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Karol G.

The festival, held over two consecutive weekends in Indio, California, will feature a diverse lineup spanning pop, electronic, rock, reggaeton, and K-pop. Opening acts include Sabrina Carpenter, who promised “the most ambitious show” of her career, alongside emerging talents Teddy Swims and girl group KATSEYE, as well as veterans like Moby.

Closing the opening night is Italian DJ Anyma, who will premiere his new audiovisual project, “ÆDEN.”

Saturday’s lineup features Justin Bieber, electronic heavyweights Armin van Buuren, Adam Beyer, and French DJ David Guetta, alongside K-pop stars like Taemin and British sensation PinkPantheress. Legendary musicians including David Byrne of Talking Heads and the collaborative project Nine Inch Noize are also performing.

Sunday promises a historic finale with reggaeton queen Karol G, K-pop kings BIGBANG, punk icon Iggy Pop, electronic pioneer Fatboy Slim, and eclectic acts including Major Lazer, Foster the People, and FKA twigs. Fans will also enjoy a special screening of HBO’s Euphoria Season 3 under the desert sky, with the festival streamed live on YouTube for global audiences.
