Rapper Phyno set to launch condom brand

Nigerian rapper Phyno, known for hits like Do I, is venturing into the sexual health market with his upcoming condom brand, ‘Okpu by Alobam’.

The artiste announced the move via Instagram, sharing a photo showcasing two different types of condoms and writing:

“Okpu by Alobam @okpubyalobam coming soon. Stay strapped.”

Phyno did not provide an official launch date or additional details about the product line.

The rapper began his career as a music producer in 2003 and is celebrated for performing primarily in the Igbo language. He has received multiple awards and recognition for his contributions to the Nigerian music industry.

Phyno released his debut studio album, No Guts No Glory, in 2014, followed by The Playmaker (2016), Deal With It (2019), and Something To Live For (2021). His fifth album, Full Time Job, was released in October 2024.

Known for embracing his culture, Phyno has said he raps in his native dialect because he respects his roots and loves being himself.

In a November 2024 interview, the 39-year-old musician also reflected on marriage and career, stating:

“Check everybody. Statistically, I feel so. Music is a jealous career.”
