Britney Spears enters treatment facility after DUI arrest

American singer Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility, one month after being arrested for driving under the influence.

The singer, while speaking through a statement released to E! News by her rep, revealed that she is now focusing on improving her health.

“This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time,” the rep stated.

The statement also disclosed that the singer received tremendous support from her inner circle and her children, adding that they are working on a plan to ensure her well-being.

“Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for her well-being,” the rep added.
