Nollywood actress Mary Remmy Njoku, has questioned the modern approach to training children, popularly known as gentle parenting.

The actress on her Instagram page, explained that she does not understand the rationale behind negotiating with children, adding that their brains are still ‘under construction’.

Njoku also noted that talking to her children in such manner does not last, revealing that her kids are aware.

“Please, who started this gentle parenting?. Who gathered all of us and said we should now begin to negotiate with tiny humans whose brains are still under construction?. Because explain to me why lam calmly saying, “Sweetheart, the glass center table is not a stool……like I’m delivering a TED. Talk in a foreign language inside Balogun market. Even my kids know this won’t last. Nope!!,” she stated.
