“Elevate” by Michael Tobi Akindele, professionally known as DR.ATM featuring Zamorra is a cool song. It is about wanting to be successful and having faith in yourself. The song is part of the Afrobeats style which’s popular nowadays. When you listen to “Elevate” you can tell that it is a song about being determined to do well. It makes you feel like you are in a world where people really want to succeed and they believe in something, other than themselves. In this world people do not just hope to be successful they know they will be.

The main thing about this song is DR.ATM’s delivery. It sounds really real and honest. He talks in a way that feels like he is just talking to you. This makes the song feel like it is coming from the heart. DR.ATM’s voice is what makes the song move forward. He sounds confident and strong like the words he is saying . He does not try to sound perfect. Instead he just talks naturally. This makes the song feel like it is his story. Zamorra also adds something to the song. He helps balance it out. Adds some quiet changes. This keeps the song from getting boring. It also makes the song sound better overall. DR.ATM’s and Zamorra’s parts work well together.

The song “Elevate” talks about life, how he thrived for success and spiritual things. The lyrics are, like a person’s thoughts. They talk about “Elevate” and keep going, not listening to bad things being said by people, being happy when “Elevate” is successful and always thanking God for “Elevate”. This makes “Elevate” feel real and something people can relate to. Sometimes the song “Elevate” does not sound like it was carefully planned. That is what makes “Elevate” sound honest and true. The song “Elevate” goes from one idea to another. It can sound a little all over the place but it also makes “Elevate” sound like it is real and not just something someone made up for “Elevate”.

The production fits well with the songs tone. It is built around a mid-tempo Afrobeats beat that lets the vocals shine. The synths are used in a way but they work well. They create a background that matches the reflective and motivational feel of the track. I think the instrumental could have been better if it had layers or changes. Sometimes it feels a bit limited. Does not make the song as exciting as it could be.

The music sounds good from a standpoint. The vocals are clear and easy to hear. That said, sometimes the sound gets muddy especially when the singer is really belting it out. If they had gotten the mix right in those parts the whole album would sound even better. The mastering is generally solid with the vocals sitting within the mix of the music but a more refined balance in certain sections would have made the record sound more polished and that would have been great for the music.

The song Elevate does a job of sending a powerful message and keeping a consistent energy. Elevate could have been even better if it had a hook to grab people’s attention. If the song had a structure and smoother transitions people would want to listen to it more.. Elevate is still a really good and heartfelt song about growing and being thankful. It shows that DR.ATM is being real and Zamorra is an artist who supports him. Elevate is a song that people can relate to when they’re trying to make their own lives better. The song Elevate is something that listeners will enjoy because it is about growth and gratitude.

The music of “Elevate” is really from the heart. It motivates you. It is all about growing and being thankful. If they just work a little more on how the songs are put together and the sounds, then “Elevate” could be one of the best songs out there. “Elevate” has the potential to be an anthem if they make a few more changes to the music of “Elevate”.
