‘How I got offers to water down anti-government skits,’ – Kevinblak

Nigerian content creator Kevin Chinedu, popularly known as Kevinblak, has spoken up on his content direction, revealing that he has been bribed to water down his skits that criticise government and public officials.

The comedian, while speaking wit Arise TV, revealed that he was approached by unnamed political figures who wanted to influence his content.

Kevinblak stated that the individuals offered him promises to change his life, adding that some of his colleagues already enjoy such privileges.

“They said they were going to change my life, that I’m earning crumbs, you know, give me dollars. They mentioned that my colleagues are in the game and all of that. Don’t mention names, trust me, don’t mention names. I had a lot of bills on my head and I just heard come, come to Abuja, let’s change your life. Dollars upon dollars,” he said.

Kevinblak however, rejected their offer, noting that he does not plan to change his personality or content direction to appease others.

“I looked at it, I said, no, I am who I am… I’ve never been somewhere doing something because I’m being influenced because of money. If I want to do it, it should be because I want to do it,” he added.
