How dare you!- Wumi Toriola rebukes Enioluwa for calling her by name

Nigerian actress, Wumi Toriola, has pushed back at colleague and content creator, Enioluwa, for addressing her by her name.

The controversial exchange occurred at an event in Lagos over the weekend. Wumi was seen exchanging pleasantries with other colleagues when she was approached by Enioluwa who reached out to hug her.

“Wumi how are you?,” he said.

His statement however, did not sit well with Wumi. She questioned his audacity to call her by her name, stating that she is not his age mate.

“Are you insane? did you just call my name? How dare you call me by my name?,” she questioned.

Enioluwa swiftly attempted to resolve the issue, stressing that he did not mean any disrespect.

“No no I didn’t say that. I said aunty Wumi how are you?,” he responded.

“You can’t greet me like that, you will have to prostrate to greet me. We are not mates,” she stated.

The actress also reacted to the backlash she received after the exchange went viral, clarifying that she is not as young as people think and should be accorded respect.

“I saw people debating my age. Nor be everyone ise de gbo ooo. Na all my family get baby face. I finished secondary school in 2003. Do the maths. 16 nor dey enter uni that time,” she wrote on her Instagram page.
