Jonathan Urged To Listen To Nigerians

A United States-based Nigerian and Ogun State Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Senatorial aspirant in the April 2011 elections, Prince Olugbenga Banjoko, has urged President Goodluck Jonathan to listen and hearken to the voice of the majority of Nigerians who are suffering for no fault of theirs.

In an e-mail Banjoko sent from his base in the United States, he noted that: ” Nigerians have suffered a great deal from various and different administrations. We have endured unpardonable atrocities committed against us. Our suffering can no longer go unaddressed.

“Hundreds of thousands have suffered to death caused by maladministration and poverty. Nigerians are good people; non-confrontational, passive and God-fearing yet they are still as poor as church rats.

Banjoko added that: “Our leaders have failed us, but we continue to pray for the arrival of Moses in our country Nigeria. We have served under more pharaohs than a single Moses; hardship and poverty are the trademarks visible in our day-to-day life. They have forgotten that no one has control over the virtue of monopoly. Change does not roll on the wheels of inevitability, but comes through the straightening of our backs and working for our freedom.”

He also condemned the deployment of soldiers to Lagos, saying that the move was provocative and politically motivated. He urged the president to commence the repairs on the refineries and construction of the proposed three.

“Mr. President you have good intentions but you don’t seem to care about the feelings and concerns of Nigerians. You have failed to investigate and prosecute the looters of public funds,” Banjoko added.
