The appointment, approved by the Board of Trustees in accordance with the KolaDaisi University Law (2016), was ratified at the 33rd statutory meeting of the Governing Council held on April 30, 2026.

KolaDaisi University, Ibadan, has appointed Professor Olajumoke Abimbola Morenikeji as its Vice-Chancellor-designate following a rigorous and transparent selection process.

The appointment, approved by the Board of Trustees in accordance with the KolaDaisi University Law (2016), was ratified at the 33rd statutory meeting of the Governing Council held on April 30, 2026.

She is expected to assume office on August 3, 2026.

Commenting on the development, the Registrar, Mr Haruna Olawale Adetu, emphasised the integrity of the selection process and the significance of the appointment.

According to him, “This appointment is the outcome of a meticulous, transparent, and merit-based process that underscores the university’s strong institutional governance culture. Professor Morenikeji brings to the role a wealth of experience in teaching, research, and administration, as well as a proven track record of leadership and innovation in higher education.”

He added that her appointment aligns with the university’s strategic vision of strengthening academic excellence and global competitiveness.
