Soccer Fans Honour Fabiyi
Nigeria’s ex and present international soccer stars are set to honour film producer and actor, Abayomi Fabiyi, at the premiere of his forthcoming movie, Ona Abayo (The Way Out).

The football players, according to Mutiu Adepoju, ex-Super Eagles of Nigeria captain who featured in the movie, will be on ground to show their solidarity to the upwardly mobile film producer at the premiere slated for Sunday, 4 March, at the National Arts Theatre, Lagos.
Speaking in a chat with NollywoodReel, Mutiu Adepoju who played the role of a secret police officer in Ona Abayo, said he has spoken to a number of past and current national football team players who have pledged their support for the young film producer.
“My colleagues have promised to storm the event in grand style. Most of them were surprised to hear that I featured in Ona Abayo and they really want to see what it would look like.
“I can assure you all that the event will be star-studded as movie, music and soccer stars will be on parade, among others,” Adepoju said.
Also speaking, ex-Super Eagles defender, Ifeanyi Udeze said he has taken it upon himself to personally lead a good number of the current and past national team players to the film premiere.
“We are proud of Yomi Fabiyi for starring our senior colleague (Adepoju) in his new film and for that singular reason; we’ll give him all our support. The movie premiere is going to be epoch- making,” Udeze said.
Fabiyi who recently received ‘Best Actor of the year’ award at the Yoruba Heritage Awards in London, for his role in Mofe, one of his past movies, said the forthcoming film launch will be held in honour of the Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola and ex-Super Eagles captain, Mutiu Adepoju.
Among the entertainers penciled to perform at the event include Chief Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, Sule Alao Malaika, Omobaba and Baba Suwe, to mention a few.
