Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt split months after welcoming daughter

Rapper and comedian Pete Davidson and model Elsie Hewitt have reportedly ended their relationship five months after the birth of their daughter, Scottie.

According to The Sun that the couple’s split was influenced by Davidson’s demanding work schedule. “Pete has been travelling so much for work, but Elsie was craving more support at home after their daughter was born,” the insider said. “It was very hard for him because, obviously, he has to work to make money.”

Another source confirmed that the couple is now focusing entirely on co-parenting. “Working out the best co-parenting solution is their top priority,” the insider added. The split reportedly became more apparent when Davidson began offloading parts of his real estate portfolio, including his Staten Island condo, likely to prepare for child support arrangements.

Hewitt recently shared candid moments of motherhood on social media, describing herself as a “zombie” after getting her daughter down for a nap. She wrote: “The silence is deafening… I haven’t breathed for an hour or peed all day.”

Davidson, 32, has maintained a busy performance schedule, including his Netflix Is a Joke special in Los Angeles and a recent appearance at the Kevin Hart Roast on Mother’s Day, while Hewitt posted solo photos with Scottie during the holiday.

The couple first went public in March 2025 and announced Hewitt’s pregnancy in July. Davidson, who has had highly publicised relationships with celebrities including Ariana Grande, Kim Kardashian, Kate Beckinsale and Kaia Gerber, welcomed fatherhood in December, reportedly spending significant amounts to update his tattoos in celebration of the new chapter.

Sources note that Davidson’s history of intense, fast-moving relationships and personal insecurities contributed to the split. “He rushes into relationships, it’s all hot and heavy, and before the other person knows it, it becomes intense and overwhelming. Now they are parents, and the dynamic immediately changed,” an insider said.

Despite the split, both parents are committed to raising Scottie together. Davidson’s past, including losing his father in the 9/11 attacks, reportedly influences his desire to provide his daughter with a complete family. Hewitt, meanwhile, reflected on the sacrifices of motherhood during her first Mother’s Day since giving birth, describing her role as “the first home” for Scottie.
