The rumours were sparked by lyrics on Drake’s newly released album, Iceman, where on the track “Make Them Cry”, he rapped: “My dad got cancer right now, we battlin’ stages.” Many fans interpreted this as an update on Graham’s health.

Dennis Graham, father of global rap star Drake, has dismissed recent speculation about his health, clarifying that he is not currently battling cancer.

The rumours were sparked by lyrics on Drake’s newly released album, Iceman, where on the track “Make Them Cry”, he rapped: “My dad got cancer right now, we battlin’ stages.” Many fans interpreted this as an update on Graham’s health.

Speaking to reporters in West Hollywood on Friday, Graham revealed that he had fought lung cancer several years ago, but has since made a full recovery. “Doctors recently confirmed that the cancer had cleared up completely,” he said, describing his recovery as a miracle.

He reassured fans that he is in good health and noted that he has taken steps to improve his lifestyle, including cutting down significantly on smoking.

Iceman is one of three studio projects Drake released this week, marking his first major musical output since 2023.
