Kano Govt Relaxes Curfew

The Kano State Government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state following Friday’s bomb blasts that rocked parts of the Kano metropolis.

The Commissioner for Information, Dr. Umar Jibril, announced the relaxation to newsmen in Kano, saying the curfew would now take effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Jubril said the measure was meant to allow the people to conduct their activities within the scheduled period, and thanked them for complying with the initial curfew.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the multiple explosions left many casualties.
